Gold Price Rises Rs4,200 Per Tola as Upward Trend Continues

Domestic gold prices continued their upward trend as international bullion rates rose to $4,415 per ounce.

WEB DESK: Gold prices continued their upward trend in Pakistan on Wednesday, with the per-tola rate rising by Rs4,200 to Rs463,936, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The latest increase came alongside a rise in international bullion prices. Gold gained $42 per ounce, pushing the global rate to $4,415 per ounce.

10-gram gold price also increases

The price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs3,601 to reach Rs397,750, according to APGJSA data.

The domestic market has recorded several consecutive increases in recent days.

A day earlier, gold had risen by Rs2,400 per tola to Rs459,736, while the 10-gram rate increased by Rs2,058 to Rs394,149.

On Tuesday, the per-tola price climbed by another Rs800 during the day to close at Rs457,366, while 10 grams was priced at Rs392,091.

Silver prices also rise

Silver also recorded gains in the domestic market.

The price of silver per tola increased by Rs146 to Rs7,111, while the 10-gram rate rose by Rs125 to Rs6,096.

The continued rise in precious-metal prices comes as international gold markets remain elevated, with global bullion prices reaching a fresh level of $4,415 per ounce.
