Gold Price in Pakistan Jumps Rs4,700 to Rs453,036 Per Tola
KARACHI, PAKISTAN — WEB DESK: Gold prices rose sharply in Pakistan on Friday, September 25, with the price of 24-karat gold increasing by Rs4,700 per tola to Rs453,036, tracking a rebound in international bullion prices.
According to rates reported by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold climbed from Rs448,336 to Rs453,036 per tola.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs4,029 to Rs388,404, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold rose by Rs3,694 to Rs356,050.
The rebound follows a steep decline in the previous session. Association data reported by The News showed that 24-karat gold had fallen Rs5,600 per tola on Thursday to Rs448,336, while 10 grams had dropped Rs4,801 to Rs384,375.
Friday’s Rs4,700 increase therefore recovers a large part of the previous session’s losses.
International Gold Climbs $47
The domestic increase coincided with a significant rebound in the international bullion market.
Gold rose $47 per ounce to $4,305 in the international market, according to the association figures cited by 24NewsHD.
That compares with $4,258 per ounce reported following Thursday’s $56 decline.
Movements in international bullion prices are an important driver of Pakistan’s domestic gold market, alongside changes in the rupee-dollar exchange rate and local market conditions.
Silver Price Also Rises
Silver also moved higher in Pakistan on Friday.
The price of silver increased Rs126 per tola to Rs6,963, while the rate for 10 grams climbed Rs108 to Rs5,969.
International silver gained $1.26 to $64.85 per ounce, according to the association’s reported rates.
The simultaneous rise in gold and silver marks a reversal from Thursday, when silver had declined Rs171 per tola to Rs6,837.
Gold Market Remains Volatile
Pakistan’s bullion market has seen substantial daily swings this week.
The latest increase comes only two days after gold prices fell sharply in domestic trading, underscoring continued volatility in both local and international precious-metal markets.
For buyers, jewellers and investors, the latest association rate places 24-karat gold at Rs453,036 per tola and Rs388,404 per 10 grams, while 22-karat gold stands at Rs356,050 per 10 grams.
However, retail jewellery prices can differ because dealers may add making charges and other premiums to benchmark bullion rates.
