Gold Price in Pakistan Holds Steady at Rs437,536 Per Tola

KARACHI, PAKISTAN — WEB DESK: Gold prices remained unchanged in Pakistan on Tuesday, October 6, with the domestic bullion market holding steady after the precious metal recorded an increase in the previous session.

The price of 24-karat gold remained at Rs437,536 per tola, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

Similarly, 10 grams of 24-karat gold stood unchanged at Rs375,116.

The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold remained at Rs343,868, providing another day of stability for jewellery buyers and bullion traders.

Gold had risen in the previous session, with the 24-karat price increasing by Rs1,200 per tola on Monday to reach the current Rs437,536 level.

International bullion prices also remained steady according to the association’s benchmark, with gold quoted at $4,150 per ounce.

The stable international rate helped keep Pakistan’s official association-linked bullion prices unchanged during Tuesday’s session.

Silver prices also showed no movement in the domestic market.

The price of 24-karat silver remained at Rs6,588 per tola, while 10 grams of silver were priced at Rs5,648.

In the international market, silver remained unchanged at $61.10 per ounce.

Domestic precious-metal prices are closely influenced by international bullion movements, the rupee-dollar exchange rate and conditions in Pakistan’s local Sarafa markets.

Gold has remained particularly sensitive to international geopolitical uncertainty, interest-rate expectations, currency movements and demand for safe-haven assets.

For Pakistani buyers, fluctuations in the rupee can also affect local bullion prices even when the international gold market shows relatively limited movement.

Tuesday’s unchanged rate follows considerable volatility in the domestic market during recent sessions, making the latest session comparatively stable for traders and consumers.

The association-linked benchmark therefore leaves 24-karat gold at Rs437,536 per tola and Rs375,116 per 10 grams, while silver remains at Rs6,588 per tola.

Retail jewellery prices can differ from benchmark bullion rates because of making charges, purity, design costs and individual jeweller margins.
