MADINAH – Web Desk: The first batch of Iranian Hajj pilgrims has arrived in Madinah, Saudi Arabian authorities confirmed.
According to Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, an Iran Air flight carrying 121 pilgrims – including medical and support staff – landed in the holy city. The pilgrims will spend seven days in Madinah.
The ministry further stated that more than 30,000 Iranian pilgrims will arrive in Saudi Arabia for Hajj this year.
The development marks continued cooperation between Tehran and Riyadh on religious pilgrimage arrangements following the normalization of their diplomatic relations.
