FGEHA Gives G-13, G-14/4 Residents 15 Days to Clear Outstanding Dues
ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN — WEB DESK: The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) has given residents and defaulters in Islamabad’s G-13 and G-14/4 sectors 15 days to clear outstanding occupancy, water and conservancy charges, warning that failure to comply could trigger action affecting ownership rights.
According to the FGEHA, its Revenue Directorate has issued a public notice providing a final opportunity to residents with unpaid dues to settle their outstanding balances within the stipulated period.
The authority warned that failure to deposit the full outstanding amount within the deadline could result in immediate suspension of ownership rights relating to the specified plot, without another prior warning, subject to applicable laws and rules.
The action covers outstanding occupancy charges as well as water and conservancy charges owed by residents and other defaulters in the two sectors.
FGEHA’s role in the areas extends beyond property administration. Official records show that Housing Scheme Phase III, covering G-13 and G-14/4, was launched in 1996. Following Federal Ombudsman findings in 2015, infrastructure development and maintenance responsibilities in these areas shifted to the housing authority.
The authority has also undertaken water-supply, road, street-lighting and other infrastructure work in the sectors. Its official project records show that G-13 and G-14/4 have been part of continuing rehabilitation and development programmes.
Residents with outstanding amounts should verify their individual account status directly through FGEHA’s official channels rather than relying solely on general reports or social-media posts.
The latest warning is particularly significant because it is described as a final opportunity for defaulters. However, the notice concerns residents with outstanding liabilities; it should not be interpreted as a general threat to the ownership rights of residents whose accounts are already clear.
