Farooq Sattar Urges PM to Reconsider Sindh Governor Removal

Date:

Islamabad – Web Desk: Senior MQM-P leader and National Assembly member Farooq Sattar has called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to reconsider the federal government’s decision to remove Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori.

In a statement, MQM-P spokesperson Ameen Haq said the party would raise its concerns regarding the governor’s removal during a meeting with the Prime Minister.

Farooq Sattar remarked that the removal of Kamran Tessori sent a clear message that the party was no longer considered necessary in federal decision-making. He emphasized that Tessori was never a figurehead, and MQM-P was not consulted before the decision was made.

The party aims to ensure that in the future, the position of Governor Sindh is allocated in consultation with MQM-P. Ameen Haq added that delays in development projects in the province are partly due to the Sindh government’s poor performance.

Meanwhile, Kamran Tessori commented that although he can identify who made the decision to remove him, he preferred not to disclose it.
