Farhan Century Sets Namibia 200-Run Target in T20 World Cup

Date:

Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistan posted a competitive total of 199 runs against Namibia in a crucial ICC T20 World Cup match, powered by a brilliant maiden World Cup century from opener Sahibzada Farhan.

Farhan scored an unbeaten 100 off 57 balls, hitting four sixes and ten boundaries, anchoring Pakistan’s innings and setting Namibia a target of 200 runs to win.

Pakistan’s innings began with Farhan and Saim Ayub, but Ayub was dismissed for 14 as Pakistan lost their first wicket at 40 runs. Captain Salman Ali Agha made a quick 38 off 23 balls before being dismissed, while Khawaja Nafi contributed five runs. Shadab Khan added 36 valuable runs in the middle order.

Earlier, Agha won the toss and opted to bat first. Pakistan made two changes to the playing XI, bringing in Mirza Salman and Khawaja Nafi in place of Shaheen Afridi and Abrar Ahmed.

The match is crucial for Pakistan’s qualification to the Super Eight stage. A win or a washout would secure Pakistan’s progression, but a defeat could allow the United States to qualify on a superior net run rate.
