Fakhar Zaman Century Powers Lahore to 197 in PSL Clash

Date:

Lahore, Pakistan – Web Desk: A blistering century by Fakhar Zaman powered Lahore Qalandars to a commanding total of 197 for 6 against Quetta Gladiators in the 30th match of the Pakistan Super League at Gaddafi Stadium.

After winning the toss, Lahore opted to bat first and posted a competitive total, largely driven by Fakhar’s explosive 103 off 51 balls. His innings featured six sixes and 11 boundaries, anchoring the batting effort and putting Quetta under significant pressure.

Supporting contributions came from Charith Asalanka (31), while Abdullah Shafique, Shaheen Afridi, and Sikandar Raza chipped in with smaller scores. Daniel Sams remained unbeaten on 18 to finish the innings strongly.

On the bowling side, Khaleel Ahmed picked up two wickets, while Abrar Ahmed, Brett Hampson, and Usman Tariq claimed one each.

Quetta Gladiators now face a must-win situation, needing 198 runs to stay alive in the tournament. A defeat could see them eliminated from the competition.
