Lahore, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistan’s opening batter Fakhar Zaman has responded to recent criticism regarding his fitness, admitting that he was not fully fit for 50-over cricket at the time.
Taking to social media, Fakhar addressed comments made by former cricketer Abdul Rauf, clarifying his physical condition.
“I was not 100 percent fit for 50-over cricket,” Fakhar stated, adding that remarks made by former fast bowler Aaqib Javed regarding his fitness were accurate.
The left-handed batter further revealed that he successfully cleared a fitness test on March 15, after which he participated in the National T20 tournament.
The clarification comes after Abdul Rauf questioned Fakhar’s selection by sharing an image of his fielding performance and raising concerns over the selection committee’s stance.
