Dr. Aafia Siddiqui Case: Federal Constitutional Court to Hear Appeal Against PM, Cabinet on June 16

ISLAMABAD – Web Desk: The Federal Constitutional Court has scheduled a hearing for the Dr. Aafia Siddiqui case, according to official sources.

A two-member bench led by Chief Justice Aminuddin Khan will hear the case on June 16. The hearing will also consider an appeal filed against contempt of court proceedings initiated against the Prime Minister and the federal cabinet. The federal government has challenged the decision to initiate contempt proceedings against the PM and cabinet, after the Islamabad High Court ordered such proceedings over non-implementation of court orders in the Dr. Aafia Siddiqui case.
