Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah met with Denmark’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Maja Derrous Mortensen, on Friday to discuss bilateral cooperation and investment opportunities in renewable energy and development sectors.
The Chief Minister briefed the ambassador on investment opportunities across Sindh province. Ambassador Mortensen expressed keen interest in the Sindh government’s development vision, particularly in environmental protection and clean energy promotion.
Detailed talks focused on investment in wind energy projects. Murad Ali Shah stated that the Sindh government is working on initiatives to provide affordable electricity across the province, which would bring relief to the public and ensure industrial growth.
Keti Bandar port development
Both leaders also discussed coastal development, specifically Keti Bandar. The Chief Minister described the area as historically significant and expressed commitment to developing it into a modern port.
“The development of Keti Bandar port would reduce pressure on Karachi’s ports and could become an important economic hub in the future,” Murad Ali Shah said.
The Danish ambassador termed the project significant for regional trade.
The meeting reflects growing European interest in Pakistan’s renewable energy sector and infrastructure development. No timeline for specific projects or investment amounts was disclosed.
