Havana, Cuba – Web Desk: Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel has issued a stark warning to the United States, stating that any military action against his country would result in “rivers of blood” and jeopardize regional peace.
In a statement posted on social media platform X, the Cuban leader said that while Cuba does not pose a threat to anyone, its people would offer full-scale resistance if the nation is attacked.
The warning comes amid US media reports claiming that Cuba has acquired more than 300 military drones and is considering plans for their potential use. According to those reports, possible targets could include the US naval base at Guantanamo Bay, American warships, and Florida’s Key West region.
Cuba has rejected these allegations, asserting that Washington is attempting to create a pretext for potential military intervention.
Meanwhile, residents of Havana have also shown strong resistance to US threats, with local citizens stating that despite severe economic crisis and fuel shortages, Cuba will not back down from defending itself.
According to reports, Cuba is currently facing a severe energy crisis after the United States restricted the supply of Venezuelan oil. Fuel shortages have worsened across the country, with many areas receiving only one or two hours of electricity per day.
Tensions between the US and Cuba have risen sharply in recent days, adding to decades of strained relations between the two nations.
