LONDON – Web Desk: Crude oil prices surged more than 2 percent in global markets as uncertainty over the Middle East conflict weighed on investor sentiment, data showed.
Brent crude prices rose to $107 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) climbed to $96 per barrel.
Previously, rising tensions between the United States and Iran in the Strait of Hormuz had also led to an increase in global oil prices. The latest spike reflects ongoing concerns over potential supply disruptions from the world’s most critical oil-producing region.
