New York, USA – Web Desk: China’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Fu Cong, has issued a stern warning over the rise of terrorism in Afghanistan under Taliban rule, highlighting the growing regional security threat.
Fu Cong condemned attacks on Chinese nationals in Afghanistan that resulted in multiple casualties and criticized the Taliban for providing a safe haven to terrorist groups. He cited the presence of Al-Qaeda, ISIS-K, BLA, and TTP as a major security concern for neighboring countries.
The Chinese diplomat called on the Taliban to fully eliminate terrorist elements operating from Afghan territory and emphasized that unchecked terrorism could destabilize the broader region. Experts also warned that ties between Afghanistan and India could further challenge regional peace and security.
