China to send special envoy to Middle East for mediation

BEIJING (Web Desk) – Wang Yi, the Foreign Minister of China, has announced that Beijing will send a special envoy to the Middle East to help mediate amid the ongoing regional tensions.

According to reports, Wang Yi held telephone conversations with the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to discuss the current situation in the region.

During the discussions, the Chinese foreign minister praised Saudi Arabia’s restraint and its stance of resolving disputes through peaceful means.

Wang Yi emphasized that the protection of civilians must remain a “red line” in any conflict. He said attacks on energy facilities and other non-military targets should not be carried out under any circumstances.

He also announced that China would send a special representative to the Middle East to facilitate mediation efforts and encourage dialogue among the concerned parties.

In addition, the Chinese foreign minister stressed the importance of keeping maritime routes safe for international shipping and trade, highlighting the need to ensure stability in key sea lanes amid the escalating tensions.
