Videos circulating on social media appear to show robotic units operating in high-altitude regions near the border, sparking speculation that China may be replacing some traditional military functions with advanced autonomous technologies.
According to defense assessments, China has increased the use of robotic logistics platforms, autonomous surveillance systems, and certain armed ground robots in parts of Tibet and Xinjiang. These systems are designed to support military operations in challenging mountainous terrain where harsh weather and high altitudes can pose significant difficulties for personnel.
