Beijing, China – Web Desk: China has expressed support for Iran’s government and people in safeguarding their legitimate rights and national stability, while urging all parties to resolve disputes through political and diplomatic channels.
A spokesperson for China’s Foreign Ministry said Beijing is closely monitoring developments in Iran and supports resolving international issues through dialogue rather than threats or the use of force.
“We oppose intimidation and power politics in international affairs,” the spokesperson said, adding that China stands by Iran in protecting its lawful rights, interests, and national stability. The spokesperson further urged restraint from all sides and emphasized that disputes should be addressed through negotiations. China, as a responsible global power, is ready to play a constructive role, the statement added.
The remarks come amid renewed diplomatic discussions surrounding Iran’s nuclear program. According to an Arab diplomat cited in Israeli media, Iran has presented a proposed draft agreement to the United States. Under the proposal, Iran would reportedly reduce uranium enrichment from 60% to 3.6% and suspend enrichment activities for seven years.
Israeli media also reported that Washington is not currently demanding zero enrichment but is seeking the transfer of Iran’s existing nuclear stockpile abroad. However, Iran has reportedly refused to move its highly enriched uranium outside the country.
The evolving negotiations highlight ongoing international efforts to revive diplomacy over Iran’s nuclear program, a key issue in Middle East geopolitics and global security.
