Bomb Threat Against Trisha Krishnan Sparks Security Alert

Date:

Chennai, India – Web Desk: A bomb threat targeting the residence of leading South Indian actress Trisha Krishnan in Chennai triggered a major security response, authorities confirmed on Tuesday.

According to media reports, an email was sent to the Tamil Nadu Director General of Police (DGP) control room claiming that explosive devices had been planted at the actress’s home as well as at the residence of the Bangladeshi Deputy High Commissioner.

Police and bomb disposal squads immediately cordoned off both locations and conducted extensive searches. However, officials later confirmed that the threat was a hoax, with no explosives found.

Authorities noted a recent increase in such false threat emails targeting high-profile individuals. Investigations are ongoing to trace the origin of the message.

Trisha Krishnan, 43, is among the highest-paid actresses in South Indian cinema. Similar hoax threats have previously been reported involving major film personalities such as Rajinikanth and Dhanush.

Separately, the actress has been trending on social media following viral videos showing her attending a wedding alongside actor Vijay. The clips have fueled speculation about their relationship.

Some unverified reports have also claimed that Vijay’s wife, Sangeeta Sornalingam, has filed for divorce, allegedly linked to the rumored association. However, no official confirmation has been issued by the parties involved.
