GILGIT – Web Desk: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has reacted to the unofficial results of the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly elections, stating that “it’s raining arrows” — a reference to the party’s election symbol — as PPP emerges as the largest party in the region.
In a statement on X, Bilawal said the PPP is emerging as the largest party in Gilgit-Baltistan and that they will make efforts to form the government. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people for their trust.
According to unofficial and incomplete results from 12 out of 24 constituencies, the PPP has won 7 seats, independent candidates have won 3, while the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Majlis Wahdat-i-Muslimeen (MWM) have secured one seat each. PPP won in GBA constituencies 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, and 19; PML-N won in GBA 22; MWM won in GBA 8; and independents won in GBA 3, 23, and 24.
