Quetta, Pakistan — Web Desk: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has warned against attempts to radicalise Baloch youth and reiterated that his government will not allow the province’s population to be drawn into futile conflicts.
Speaking in the Balochistan Assembly, Bugti condemned recent acts of terrorism in the province and expressed solidarity with the families of the victims. He emphasised that the government’s top priority remains peace, stability, and development in Balochistan.
“Propaganda is being used to influence the minds of our youth, but we will not let our people be pushed into meaningless wars,” Bugti said. He added that foreign militants operating in the province have no genuine religious affiliation and are solely targeting civilians and security forces.
Bugti highlighted the sacrifices made by security personnel and ordinary citizens in combating terrorism, saying their blood has been shed for the country’s protection. He assured the Assembly that the government remains committed to all necessary measures to maintain law and order and safeguard communities.
The Chief Minister also reiterated his willingness to engage in political dialogue to resolve conflicts but stressed that terrorism will not be tolerated under any circumstances. “Our forces are determined, and we will not allow terrorists to escape accountability,” he said.
His remarks come amid a surge in terrorist incidents across Balochistan, a region that has long faced security challenges including militant attacks, insurgency, and cross-border violence. Analysts note that Bugti’s statements aim to reassure citizens, reinforce government authority, and discourage extremist influence on vulnerable youth.
The Balochistan government has also intensified security measures and community engagement programs to prevent radicalisation and ensure lasting peace in the province.
