RAWALPINDI — An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Rawalpindi has directed all individuals accused in the GHQ attack case to appear at the next hearing, scheduled for November 5 at Adiala Jail.
The proceedings were presided over by Special Judge Amjad Ali Shah, with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan marking his attendance from jail. However, three police sub-inspectors summoned as witnesses failed to appear, citing deployment for security duties at a cricket stadium, as noted in the police report submitted to the court.
Due to their absence, the court adjourned the hearing and issued formal notices for the witnesses to attend the upcoming session at the jail premises. All accused have also been instructed to be present for the next hearing.
Former interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed was in attendance and departed following the conclusion of the proceedings.
