ANF Seizes Narcotics Worth Over Rs 40 Million in Countrywide Crackdown

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – Web Desk: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has seized narcotics worth over 40 million rupees in a series of countrywide operations against drug smuggling.

According to an ANF spokesperson, the force conducted 7 operations across various cities, arresting 5 suspects. During these raids, authorities recovered 316.724 kilograms of drugs valued at more than 40.4 million rupees.

Major operations:

  • Sialkot Airport: 12.160 kg of Ice (crystal meth) was recovered, concealed in 7 Ahrams (garments) from a passenger traveling to Saudi Arabia.
  • Faisalabad Courier Office: 6.560 kg of Ice was recovered from clothes in a parcel destined for Saudi Arabia, resulting in one arrest.
  • Taunsa Toll Plaza: 24 kg of charas (hashish) was seized from a passenger bus, with one suspect taken into custody.
  • Near Shikarpur Road, Sukkur: 10 kg of charas was recovered from a motorcyclist.
  • Ring Road Peshawar: 3.450 kg of Ice was seized from a vehicle near a CNG station, leading to another arrest.
  • Wahga Village, Lahore: 554 grams of heroin were recovered from an abandoned drone.
  • Near Dalbandin: 260 kg of charas were seized during a separate operation.

All cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act 1997, and further investigations are underway.
