Afridi Backs Tribal Youth & Peace in Miranshah

Date:

Miranshah (Web Desk: Former Pakistani cricket star and social activist Shahid Afridi visited Miranshah, the main city of North Waziristan, where he held detailed meetings with local tribal elders from the Wazir and Dawar communities.

Afridi praised the patriotism and sacrifices of the brave tribal people, especially their support for the Pakistan Army in maintaining peace in the region. He expressed joy in seeing how these communities stand side by side with the military to ensure stability.

He was particularly impressed by the efforts being made to provide children with not only quality education but also access to extracurricular activities that help develop their talents. Afridi emphasized that such initiatives are key to shaping a brighter future for the youth.

He pledged full support, saying, “Insha’Allah, we will work together with our armed forces and civil institutions to give these talented children every opportunity for success.” He added that education, sports, and positive engagement are the best tools to steer youth away from extremism and toward a peaceful, progressive Pakistan.

During the visit, tribal elders appreciated Afridi’s social work and called his presence in the region encouraging for the youth. Local leaders said that national heroes like Afridi visiting tribal areas sends a strong and positive message.

It’s worth noting that the Shahid Afridi Foundation continues to run multiple projects across underprivileged regions of Pakistan, focusing on education, healthcare, clean water, and sports development to empower marginalized communities.
