Admissions in MBBS, BDS on quota seats in Punjab to start from Dec 1

(Web Desk) – Applications for admission on quota seats in medical and dental colleges of Punjab will be received from December 1.

Applications will be submitted on the online portal of the University of Health Sciences.

For the first time, direct applications will be received from candidates from other provinces.

According to the admission policy approved by the provincial cabinet, admissions will not be made on the basis of nominations.

For admissions, 26 MBBS and 4 BDS seats are reserved for students from Islamabad while 36 MBBS and 3 BDS seats are reserved for candidates from Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Moreover, 55 MBBS and 5 BDS seats are reserved for Gilgit-Baltistan while 20 MBBS seats are reserved for Balochistan (Goodwill) category.

Further, 21 MBBS and 6 BDS seats are reserved for students from erstwhile FATA.

Similarly, 28 MBBS seats are reserved for Balochistan HEC Scholarship category and there are 10 seats for BDS.

There are also 28 seats for MBBS and 10 seats for BDS on the former FATA on HEC scholarship quota.

For admission, the candidate must have a domicile of his province or area.

The candidate must also meet the minimum eligibility criteria of PM&DC.

Online applications for quota seats will be received till December 15.

A special desk has been set up in UHS to guide the candidates.
