Security forces kill nine India-sponsored terrorists in Balochistan IBOs: ISPR

Date:

Seven militants were reported killed in Kachhi and two in Wadh during separate intelligence-based operations on October 26, according to Pakistan’s military media wing.

RAWALPINDI — WEB DESK: Pakistan’s security forces killed nine militants during two intelligence-based operations in Balochistan’s Kachhi and Wadh districts on October 26, the military’s media wing said on Wednesday, October 28.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), seven militants were killed during an operation in Kachhi, while two others died in a separate operation in Wadh. The military said weapons and ammunition were recovered during both operations.

The ISPR described the targeted individuals as members of what it calls the Indian-sponsored militant network Fitna al-Hindustan. This attribution reflects the Pakistani military’s account; the claim of Indian sponsorship was not independently established in the reports reviewed.

Seven militants killed in Kachhi operation

The ISPR said security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Kachhi district after receiving reports about the presence of militants.

During the operation, troops located and cleared a reported militant hideout. An exchange of fire followed, leaving seven militants dead, according to the military statement. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered.

Two more killed in Wadh

In a separate operation in Wadh district, security forces tracked and intercepted the movement of suspected militants, the ISPR said.

An exchange of fire resulted in the deaths of two more militants, according to the statement. The military added that weapons and ammunition were recovered during the operation.

Clearance operations underway

The ISPR said sanitisation operations were continuing in the affected areas to locate and eliminate any other militants who might remain there.

The military also said counterterrorism operations under the government’s Azm-e-Istehkam framework would continue. The initiative was approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan, according to the statement.

Balochistan remains a security concern

Balochistan has experienced persistent militant violence, with attacks targeting security personnel and civilians. Pakistan’s authorities have repeatedly alleged that some militant groups operating in the province receive support from outside the country.

The latest operation comes amid continued counterterrorism activity in Balochistan. However, the available reports do not provide independently verified details about the identities of the nine people killed or evidence supporting the specific allegation of Indian sponsorship.
