Mark Ruffalo Warns Trump at New York Voting Rights Rally Ahead of Midterms

NEW YORK, UNITED STATES — WEB DESK: Hollywood actor Mark Ruffalo delivered a fiery message aimed at US President Donald Trump during a voting rights rally in New York, urging Americans to remain politically engaged ahead of the November 3 midterm elections.

The Avengers star appeared at the Hands Off Our Vote event on Sunday, joining other prominent speakers including veteran actor Robert De Niro as campaign activity intensifies ahead of the congressional elections.

Ruffalo focused much of his speech on voting rights and election security, telling supporters that the upcoming midterms represented a critical political moment for the United States.

He urged voters not to become complacent and called on them to remain engaged through election day and beyond.

Ruffalo also raised concerns about potential interference with the electoral process and encouraged supporters to work with organisations focused on election security and voting rights.

Turning directly to Trump, the actor called for opposition to the president’s policies and urged the crowd not to allow fear or political fatigue to discourage participation.

Ruffalo then drew on one of his most famous Hollywood roles to deliver the rally’s most memorable moment.

After an audience member referenced his Marvel character, the Hulk, Ruffalo joked: “I’m gonna Hulk out. You won’t like me when I’m angry.”

The remark drew cheers from the crowd as the actor confirmed that he remains involved with the Hulk character.

Robert De Niro also addressed the rally, focusing on voting rights, political participation and the importance of citizens using their electoral power.

The event comes as both Republicans and Democrats intensify campaigning ahead of the November 3 elections, which will determine control of Congress for the final two years of Trump’s current presidential term.

Trump has also stepped up his campaign schedule in recent days, travelling across the country to mobilise Republican voters and support GOP candidates.

Voting methods have emerged as another issue in the campaign.

Trump, who has repeatedly criticised mail-in voting in previous election cycles, has recently encouraged Republican supporters to cast ballots early, by mail or in person.

With less than a month remaining before election day, voting rights, election administration and voter turnout are expected to remain central themes in the closing stages of the campaign.

Ruffalo, who has frequently spoken publicly about political and social issues, ended his appearance by encouraging supporters to remain united, participate in the election and continue defending voting rights.
