The controversy began when Syed Mohammad Ahmed shared a video on social media, saying that a junior actor had mocked him on set over his baldness. Although he did not identify the individual by name, the clip quickly gained traction online and prompted widespread reactions from fans and members of the entertainment industry.
Viral Video Sparks Debate
Following the video’s circulation, several actors expressed support for the veteran performer and called on the individual involved to issue a public apology.
Social media users also demanded that the junior actor be identified. As discussions intensified, another video related to the incident surfaced online.
Fahad Sheikh Issues Public Apology
Fahad Sheikh later acknowledged his involvement and apologised through an Instagram Story.
In his statement, he said that “half-told stories can be dangerous” because they can create misleading narratives.
He explained that the atmosphere on drama sets is often informal and family-like, and said there had been no intention to insult or ridicule Syed Mohammad Ahmed.
Fahad added that this was not his first project with the veteran actor and that they had previously shared a cordial working relationship.
He also said he was unaware of the moment when his senior colleague felt offended and reiterated that hurting him had never been his intention.
Respect for Senior Artists
Concluding his statement, Fahad Sheikh revealed that he had already apologised to Syed Mohammad Ahmed privately and was willing to do so publicly as well.
“He is my senior, and I have no hesitation in apologising publicly,” he wrote.
The incident has renewed discussions within Pakistan’s entertainment industry about workplace conduct, professionalism and respect for senior artists.
