Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: Three suspects arrested in the murder of Dr. Akash were killed in an alleged police encounter in the Gulshan-e-Mamar area of Karachi, according to police officials .
The Encounter
Police had taken the three suspects to the Ahmad Brohi Goth area for identification when their accomplices opened fire on the police party. In the ensuing exchange of fire, the three suspects were critically injured and died before reaching the hospital . A police officer was also injured in the crossfire .
The Murder Case
The suspects had been arrested in connection with the murder of Dr. Akash, who was shot dead outside a bank in Clifton while resisting a robbery attempt . The suspects, identified as Suresh (24), Ram Chand (28), and Anil (22), belonged to the Oad community .
Investigation
SSP Investigation Mumtaz Mehra confirmed that the suspects were involved in the murder case and were taken for identification when the attack occurred . The injured police officer, Ali Jan, is reported to be out of danger . A search for the fleeing accomplices is ongoing .
