Pentagon: Nearly 100 US Troops Wounded in Iran Conflict Over Past Two Weeks

Date:

Washington D.C. – Web Desk: The Pentagon has confirmed that nearly 100 US service members have been wounded in ongoing military operations against Iran over the past two weeks, according to spokesman Sean Parnell .

Casualty Details

Parnell told journalists that approximately 100 US personnel have been injured since July 7, with 96% having returned to duty after treatment .

The announcement comes as the Pentagon identified two more US soldiers killed in Iran-linked attacks on Friday. Previously, the Pentagon had reported 14 killed and 427 wounded since February 28 .

Concerns Over Higher Toll

US media reports suggest there are concerns that casualty figures could rise further following Iranian attacks on US bases in northern Iraq and Jordan. Forensic analysis is being conducted on unidentified human remains recovered at the Jordan attack site, raising the possibility that the number of killed may exceed official figures .

The US had previously confirmed three soldiers killed and one missing in Iranian attacks, with an additional soldier killed in northern Iraq on July 18 .

Regional Tensions Mount

Analysts warn that escalating tensions in the Middle East continue to pose threats to US forces, with ongoing military actions further complicating the conflict between Washington and Tehran .
