Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev is set to arrive in Islamabad tonight for a two-day official visit, during which Pakistan and Uzbekistan are expected to finalize a transit trade agreement .
Trade and Connectivity
The agreement includes expanding and amending the transit trade protocol, with the China Corridor set to be included as an additional trade route to ensure uninterrupted goods movement despite changing regional security dynamics .
Under the arrangement, Pakistan will gain trade access to Central Asian states through China, while Uzbekistan will maintain access to Pakistani ports .
Business-to-Business Forum
Detailed discussions on trade, investment, transport, logistics, and regional connectivity are scheduled, along with a five-year roadmap for trade and economic cooperation . A Business-to-Business (B2B) forum will also be held, with representatives from over 100 Uzbek companies expected to participate .
