Dhaka, Bangladesh – Web Desk: The Indian cricket team is likely to tour Bangladesh in 2026 for a white-ball series, with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) beginning preliminary preparations despite no official confirmation from either cricket board.
According to media reports, the BCB has invited bids for the television and digital broadcasting rights for its home international fixtures scheduled for 2026 and 2027, which include the proposed limited-overs series against India.
The tour was originally scheduled to take place last year but was postponed due to diplomatic tensions between the two neighbouring countries.
Under the proposed itinerary, India and Bangladesh are expected to play three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). However, neither the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) nor the Bangladesh Cricket Board has officially announced or confirmed the series.
The reports also revealed that the BCB has sought bids for the broadcasting rights of Pakistan’s scheduled five-match ODI series in Bangladesh in 2027, indicating preparations for its upcoming international cricket calendar.
If confirmed, India’s tour would mark the resumption of bilateral cricket between the two sides after the previously postponed series and is expected to generate significant interest among cricket fans across South Asia.
