Beirut, Lebanon – Web Desk: Hezbollah attack in southern Lebanon kills Israeli commander, 13 injured.
A rocket barrage launched by Hezbollah targeted an Israeli military outpost in southern Lebanon, killing a commander and injuring 13 soldiers, according to Israeli military sources.
The Israeli army confirmed that the attack struck a checkpoint near the village of Kfar Tebnit, close to Nabatieh in southern Lebanon. The position was hit by multiple rockets as well as an explosive-laden drone, the military said.
In the attack, 21-year-old Sergeant First Class Nir Ben Ari, a member of the Maglan unit of the Commando Brigade, was killed. Thirteen other soldiers were wounded, including two in critical condition, raising concerns that the death toll could rise.

According to the military, the latest casualties bring the number of Israeli soldiers killed in the past three days to 10, with around 20 others injured in ongoing cross-border clashes.
Separately, Israeli forces have continued operations in densely populated areas, with reports of nearly 50 civilian deaths and more than 100 injuries, including environmental expert Mona Khalil, who was reportedly killed in the strikes.
The latest escalation comes amid continued hostilities between Hezbollah and Israeli forces in southern Lebanon, despite international calls for de-escalation in the region.
