Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – Web Desk: The United Arab Emirates has announced a major humanitarian relief package for foreign travellers affected by the ongoing Iran-related conflict, offering visa flexibility and exemption from overstay penalties.
According to international media reports, UAE authorities have introduced a special policy allowing individuals whose visas have expired due to travel disruptions linked to the Iran conflict to avoid overstay fines within a defined grace period.
The new directive came into effect on June 10 and will remain valid until July 9, 2026. During this period, affected passengers will be able to regularize their visa or residency status without incurring financial penalties.
Officials said the measure is designed to support individuals stranded due to flight cancellations and regional instability caused by the conflict. A 30-day visa relief facility has also been introduced for eligible travellers under the humanitarian arrangement.
The policy applies to tourists and visit visa holders who were unable to leave the country on time due to suspended air routes and security disruptions across the region.
Authorities in the UAE (United Arab Emirates) stated that the initiative aims to provide legal and administrative relief to those impacted by extraordinary geopolitical circumstances.
The development comes amid broader regional tensions linked to the Iran conflict, which has disrupted air travel and affected movement across parts of the Middle East.
