Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: The Cabinet’s Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved a technical supplementary grant of Rs2.19 billion for NADRA projects, along with several other summaries from the Ministry of Interior.
The ECC meeting was chaired by Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb, during which multiple development and security-related initiatives received the green light.
According to official decisions, the ECC authorized Rs5 billion for the uninterrupted printing and delivery of passport booklets and related services. An additional Rs2.12 billion was allocated for key interior ministry projects, including the Islamabad Model Jail, the National Police Hospital, and the Security Dashboard initiative.
The committee also approved a grant exceeding Rs240 million for the repair and maintenance of ANF helicopters, and sanctioned funds for NADRA to ensure the continuity of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Service Delivery Project.
Other approvals included the release of Rs5 billion to clear outstanding liabilities of Immigration and Passports, and authorization to continue gas supply to Fatima Fertilizer and Agritech to ensure the availability of urea fertilizer in the domestic market.
The ECC further directed that gas supply for urea production would remain uninterrupted until June 30, 2026, to maintain stability in the local fertilizer market.
