China Calls for Ceasefire After US Strikes in Middle East

Date:

Beijing, China – Web Desk: China has expressed deep concern over escalating tensions in the Middle East following recent US strikes on Iran, urging all parties to immediately halt military actions and return to diplomatic negotiations.

According to China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian, Beijing is closely monitoring the intensifying conflict in the region and is particularly alarmed by reports of renewed US military operations against Iran.

Speaking at a routine press briefing, Lin said all involved parties should stop hostilities, resume dialogue, and support ongoing mediation efforts aimed at restoring regional stability.

He emphasized that China supports a comprehensive, sustainable and lasting ceasefire, stressing that political dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path to resolving disputes.

Lin warned that the current escalation poses serious risks not only to Middle East stability but also to global peace and security. He urged restraint from all sides and cautioned against further actions that could worsen the situation.

China’s statement comes amid rising Iran–US tensions and growing international concern over the potential expansion of the conflict across the region.
