Gold Prices Plunge Again in Global and Local Markets After Brief Respite

KARACHI – Web Desk: Gold prices recorded another significant drop in both international and local markets after a few days’ interval, according to bullion market reports.

In the international bullion market, the price of gold per ounce fell by a substantial $126.27 to $4,200. Influenced by the global market, the price of 24-karat gold per tola in local sarafa markets decreased by Rs 12,627 to Rs 442,436. The price per 10 grams of gold also dropped by Rs 11,364 to Rs 378,170.

Silver prices also declined locally, with per tola silver down by Rs 385 to Rs 6,929, while per 10 grams of silver fell by Rs 352 to Rs 5,893.

On June 6, international gold had fallen by $124 per ounce and locally by Rs 12,489 per tola, followed by further declines on Monday of $30.94 and Rs 3,094 respectively.
