Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistani actor Muneeb Butt appeared before a special Anti-Terrorism Court during the hearing of a kidnapping-for-ransom case, where the court extended his interim bail and maintained protective relief until the next hearing.
According to details, Muneeb Butt has been named in an FIR registered by Airport Police. The case was filed on April 23 on the complaint of Mutal Khan, alleging that the actor, along with other suspects, was involved in abducting the complainant.
Police further allege that after the alleged abduction, millions of rupees worth of cryptocurrency were transferred from the victim’s account into the accused persons’ accounts.
Investigators also stated that the complainant was later released in Karachi’s Korangi area following the alleged digital transfer.
During the proceedings, Muneeb Butt submitted an application seeking extension of his pre-arrest bail, which was approved by the court. The judge directed that protective bail remains in effect until the next hearing and sought a progress report from investigators.
The case remains in its early stages, with police continuing their investigation.
