KARACHI – Web Desk: The fee-less e-challan system for lane violations on Karachi’s Shahrah-e-Faisal became operational on June 1, with 96 challans issued on the first day, according to traffic reports.
Breaking down the violations: 2 large buses, 2 coasters, 1 double cabin, and 9 cars received challans; 6 minibuses, 3 mini trucks, and 21 Suzuki pickups were fined; 43 motorcycles, 3 trucks, 4 vans, and 2 water tankers also received challans. All challans were issued for vehicles leaving their designated lanes and driving in other lanes, with slow driving in the first lane also resulting in a fee-less challan.
