Ankara, Turkey – Web Desk: Pakistan Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu held high-level meetings with Turkey’s defence, air force, and aerospace leadership during an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral defence cooperation.
During the visit, the Air Chief met Turkish Air Force Commander General Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu, Turkish Minister of National Defence Yaşar Güler, and Baykar Technologies Chief Technology Officer Selçuk Bayraktar.
Discussions focused on expanding collaboration in defence production, aerospace innovation, and advanced military technologies, reflecting the shared strategic vision of both countries.
At the Turkish Air Force Headquarters, Air Chief Marshal Sidhu received a ceremonial guard of honour, underscoring the strong military ties between Pakistan and Turkey. Both sides held detailed discussions on enhancing joint training, operational coordination, and exchange programmes.
The Turkish Air Force leadership appreciated Pakistan Air Force’s support in pilot training, describing it as key to strengthening professional expertise and operational readiness.
In meetings with Turkey’s defence minister, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening defence relations rooted in historic, cultural, and strategic ties.
A separate meeting with Baykar Technologies explored opportunities in unmanned aerial systems and emerging aerospace technologies, highlighting growing cooperation in defence innovation.
The visit is seen as a significant step in reinforcing the long-term strategic partnership between Pakistan and Turkey in defence, aerospace, and advanced technology sectors.
