Momina Iqbal Harassment Case to Be Concluded Soon: NCCIA

Lahore, Pakistan – Web Desk: The Director General of Pakistan’s National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has said that the harassment case involving actress Momina Iqbal is expected to be concluded within one to two days, following completion of statements from both sides.

Addressing a press conference in Lahore, the DG NCCIA said the Lahore office is handling the case and that all recorded statements from involved parties will be finalized soon.

He emphasized that cases involving women are among the agency’s top priorities, adding that NCCIA ensures equal treatment regardless of social or financial status.

The official also highlighted the role of journalists, describing them as the “eyes and ears of society,” and reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to protecting public interest.

Separately, he stated that action is taken against individuals involved in anti-state activities, referring to recent arrests of individuals allegedly claiming that Swat should be part of Afghanistan.

The DG added that NCCIA operates with a nationwide workforce of around 480 personnel and is actively working to strengthen its internal capacity to handle cybercrime and related investigations.
