WASHINGTON D.C. – Web Desk: Democratic Congressman Seth Moulton left the Commander of US Central Command (CENTCOM) unable to answer during a Senate committee briefing, after a series of sharp questions regarding the war with Iran.
According to details from the briefing, Rep. Moulton pressed Admiral Cooper on contradictory statements and strategic failures. He opened by questioning former President Trump’s previous claims: “Trump said Iran’s nuclear program had already been destroyed. So why was the war started? Did Trump lie?”
The Congressman then challenged the administration’s strategic planning, asking: “Was it also part of the plan that Iran would close the Strait of Hormuz? Was it part of the US plan that we would have to beg China to help reopen the Strait?”
Moulton further questioned the economic and human costs of the conflict. “Was a 56% increase in oil prices part of the plan? How many more American soldiers are scheduled to die in this plan?” He concluded with a stark assessment: “It seems we are losing the war against Iran.”
