Washington, D.C. – Web Desk: The US Department of State has approved the sale of Apache helicopter support services and equipment to India, further strengthening defense cooperation between the two nations.
According to an official statement, the contract is valued at $19.82 million. The primary contractors for the deal will be American defense giants Boeing and Lockheed Martin.
Reports indicate that the support package includes training, simulation, maintenance, spare parts, and other technical services. India currently operates a fleet of 28 Apache helicopters.
In a separate approval, the State Department also cleared support services for Ultra-Light Howitzers for India, valued at $23 million.
The latest approvals come as part of ongoing US-India defense ties, with Washington positioning New Delhi as a key strategic partner in the Indo-Pacific region.
