Baku, Azerbaijan – Web Desk: Maryam Nawaz arrived in Baku on an official visit to attend the international World Urban Forum, where global leaders are gathering to discuss urban development, housing, and sustainable cities.
Upon her arrival at the forum venue, Ilham Aliyev and his wife warmly welcomed the Punjab chief minister. The leaders also participated in an official group photograph during the event.
Maryam Nawaz is scheduled to deliver a keynote address at the World Leaders Summit being held at the Baku Olympic Stadium, where she will present the Punjab government’s flagship affordable housing initiative, “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar,” to an international audience.
According to officials, Punjab’s low-cost housing model will also be showcased as a case study at the Pakistan Pavilion before international delegates, highlighting Pakistan’s urban housing and development initiatives on the global stage.
The World Urban Forum is regarded as a major international platform focusing on sustainable urban planning, smart cities, housing accessibility, and future infrastructure policies.
