Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: Iran has warned the United Arab Emirates against expanding ties with Israel, amid rising regional tensions following recent conflict in the Middle East.
According to Qatari media reports, Mohsen Rezaei, military secretary to Iran’s Supreme Leader, said Tehran remained open to maintaining friendly relations with Abu Dhabi but cautioned that Iran’s patience had limits.
Rezaei stated that Iran was fully aware of the growing relationship between the UAE and Israel and warned Abu Dhabi against becoming involved in what he described as “Israeli conspiracies.”
Reports also suggested that during the recent Iran-Israel conflict involving the United States, the UAE came under intense pressure from Iranian strikes, while some reports indicated that the Gulf state may have taken part in retaliatory measures.
Earlier, Abbas Araghchi accused the UAE of direct involvement in anti-Iran activities. Addressing a BRICS meeting, he said Tehran had avoided naming the UAE publicly for the sake of regional unity but criticized Abu Dhabi for not condemning attacks against Iran.
The remarks come after claims by the office of Benjamin Netanyahu that the Israeli premier secretly visited the UAE during the Iran conflict and met Emirati leadership. However, the UAE denied reports of Netanyahu’s visit during the war.
