Moscow, Russia – Web Desk: Russian President Vladimir Putin has signaled that the war in Ukraine could be moving toward its conclusion, saying the conflict appears to be heading toward a “logical outcome.”
Speaking in Moscow, Putin said he believes the Ukraine conflict is progressing toward a resolution and thanked the United States for its role in facilitating diplomatic discussions.
The Russian president stated that the matter has now largely become an issue between Russia and Ukraine. According to Putin, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico informed him that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is prepared for a face-to-face meeting.
However, Putin said he would only meet Zelenskyy after a long-term peace agreement is finalized.
The Russian leader also commented on tensions involving Iran, expressing hope that the crisis would end soon through diplomatic efforts.
In addition, Putin revealed that Russia is close to reaching a major energy agreement with China in the oil and gas sector, a move expected to strengthen economic ties between the two countries.
The remarks come amid ongoing international efforts to secure a lasting ceasefire and diplomatic settlement in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
