Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has confirmed the bail of former lawmaker Mir Shehryar Khan Shar and his son Jahangir Khan Shar in a murder case registered in Sindh’s Ghotki district.
According to reports, the accused were facing allegations related to an attack on Sindh Assembly member Jam Mehtab. The incident reportedly left one person dead and two others injured.
Defense counsel Farooq H. Naek argued before the court that the applicants had political differences with the complainant and were being targeted as part of political victimization.
During the hearing, Justice Shahid Waheed remarked that it was surprising the complainant had not suffered even minor injuries in the alleged attack. Justice Musarrat Hilali observed that the case required detailed examination to fully understand the circumstances.
The case was registered in Ubauro tehsil of Ghotki district in Sindh province.
