Gwadar, Pakistan – Web Desk: A transshipment cargo vessel for May has docked at Gwadar Port, marking continued commercial activity at the strategic facility, according to officials.

Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar Chaudhry said the vessel, MV Shi Lang, is carrying 16,077 metric tons of cargo. He added that the ship was diverted to Gwadar due to the current regional situation.

He said berthing and cargo handling operations are underway at a fast pace, highlighting Gwadar’s growing importance as an alternative trade route in the region.

The minister noted that four transshipment vessels arrived at Gwadar Port in April, reflecting increasing maritime activity.

He further stated that regional maritime developments have enhanced Gwadar’s strategic significance, positioning it as a reliable hub for global trade and logistics.
