Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Iran has expressed readiness to pursue diplomacy while urging the United States to abandon what it described as a threatening and expansionist approach.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held telephone conversations with his counterparts from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, Egypt, Iraq, and Azerbaijan, briefing them on Tehran’s efforts to end hostilities with the United States and Israel.
Araghchi said Iran remains open to diplomatic engagement, but stressed that meaningful talks would require Washington to change its tone and policies. “Diplomacy remains an option, provided the United States abandons its threatening posture,” he said.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry also confirmed that Pakistan is acting as the official mediator in any potential negotiations between Tehran and Washington. Officials said that if formal talks are scheduled, they will be announced through official channels.
The development comes amid ongoing regional tensions, with diplomatic efforts continuing behind the scenes to prevent further escalation in the Middle East.
