Pakistan Army Destroys Afghan Taliban Posts in Chaman Sector

Date:

Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: The Pakistan Army has launched a major retaliatory operation code-named “Ghazab-e-Haq” in the Chaman sector along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, destroying multiple checkposts and vehicles belonging to the Afghan Taliban, security sources said Wednesday.

According to sources, the operation was carried out in response to unprovoked aggression by the Afghan Taliban and the Fitna Al-Khawarij militant group along the border.

Pakistan Army troops delivered a robust response to the cross-border attacks, inflicting significant damage on militant positions. Security sources confirmed that the army’s actions forced the Afghan Taliban and Fitna Al-Khawarij fighters to retreat.

“Ghazab-e-Haq” operation will continue until all its objectives are achieved, security sources said, reiterating the armed forces’ unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation’s territorial integrity.

The latest escalation comes amid heightened tensions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, with both sides accusing each other of violating the fragile border security arrangements. Pakistan has repeatedly expressed concerns over militant sanctuaries inside Afghan territory used to launch attacks against Pakistani security forces and civilians.

No immediate statement was issued by the Afghan Taliban government in Kabul regarding the reported operation. Casualty figures on the Afghan side remain unclear.

Pakistani authorities have not announced a timeline for the conclusion of the operation but affirmed that border security has been heightened to prevent any future incursions.
