Indonesia Train Collision Kills 14 Passengers, Dozens Injured in Bekasi

JAKARTA – Web Desk: A collision between two trains in Indonesia has resulted in multiple fatalities, with officials confirming 14 deaths and dozens injured near the capital.

According to international media reports, the horrific accident occurred in Bekasi, a city adjacent to Jakarta, at the Bekasi railway station.

Railway authorities confirmed that 14 people have died in the crash. At least 84 others sustained injuries and were transported to hospitals for medical treatment.

Officials stated that one train was carrying 240 passengers who are safe, while rescue operations continue for passengers of the other train involved in the accident. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the collision. Authorities fear the death toll may rise further.
